Holiday Gift Tags are here!

The holiday gift labels are finally on my Etsy site!  Some of the labels match the holiday cards. These were definitely the popular items at Tiny Canary since they are very affordable and everyone likes to buy one of each kind.
My shop will be featured on Papernstinch for a month! Please check out and don't forget to vote for your favorite artist!

Tiny Canary was a big success!

We had our very first craft show right here in Columbus this past weekend. Tiny Canary was just a perfect craft show for us.. right location, right people, and right size (40 vendors). Everything was a learning process, but Jeff and I had a great time meeting some amazing & creative people over the weekend. Big thanks to people who came to visit our booth.. it was so nice to meet each person who visited.
Here is the detailed "behind the stage" scenes to prepare for the show...
A few weeks earlier, I sketched out the booth ideas. My friend, Lovanna helped me making the curtains and the table clothes. 3 of my friends (thanks to Anna, Roz & Lovanna) came over to help me put all the cards/calendar together a couple nights before the show. I bought inexpensive crates & baskets from Flower Factory and spray painted in black. I also purchased inexpensive mini easels from WalMart, and spray painted in black. I bought a carousel card-rack online. I used my dessert plates to display all the labels. I bought a beautiful plant pot at Flower Factory for $2.50 and planted a succulent.. and used it as a display. I designed a sign and printed at Capitol Citicom. I signed up at ProPay and accepted credit cards (big success).
We are still learning as we do this, but we are also looking forward to our next show! We had such a great time, and it was just an amazing turn out. Thank you so much to Tiny Canary!

Tiny Canary Indie Design Market

I'm happy to announce that we'll be doing our very first show at Tiny Canary Indie Arts Market on November 15 & 16! If you are in central Ohio area that weekend, please stop by and say hello!

Beautiful October weekend in Ohio

We had a perfect fall wether over the weekend! My husband Jeff and I went to Columbus Southwest Airport on Saturday to watch our friend tow banners for the OSU game. You would think that being a pilot, Jeff wouldn't care too much about seeing airplanes flying on his days off.. but it's quite the opposite. He absolutely loves watching airplanes... as much as I have a passion for prints and paper : )

We had our friends getting married here in Columbus on Saturday. In between the ceremony and the reception, we stopped by Pistacia Vera (located on 3rd in German Village).. and I could not resist my temptation of getting some of their beautiful & delicious sweets! The storefront is beautiful, modern and clean design. I'm going to have to try their pumpkin spice mouse next!

Am I ever be inspired by Japanese designers? Of course! I love unique, clean and modern Japanese designs and I believe there are some amazing designers in Japan. Hiroshi Sasagawa's animal index is such a clever, beautiful and fun design! These animals can definitely make your boring office into a delightful space : )

Country Living Fair '08

Country Living Fair is here in Columbus this weekend! Despite the rain, many country/vintage lovers were at the Ohio Village today. I was there to see one of my favorite fabric designer, Amy Butler. She had a workshop on all the new sawing projects and they were beautiful! I have such a respect for her because she also gets all of her creativity and inspiration right here in Ohio : ) My favorite project was her little Kimono outfit for the baby.. so amazing!
